It’s been a crazy day for Bitcoin. The lag issues affecting Mt.Gox are still ongoing, contributing in part to a price drop. To be sure, Instawallet is providing a lot of grief. I wish the price would fluctuate a little more, testing against good levels. Perhaps all the bubble talk is for real. I have a commentary I am working on to explore the issues, and connect you all with a few relevant links to events and issues I think are worth consideration. I hope to have it up later this evening, but I won’t rush it.
Bitwage is a company that supplies a bank account to workers in any country who receive wages and business disbursements from the US/EU/UK and then pays them out in Bitcoin. This way if you work at any job that can pay to Bitwage’s account you can get your salary in Bitcoin. You can also choose to only have part of your salary in Bitcoin and the rest in fiat currency.
It is typical for faucets to have a referral system, where existing users referring new ones are rewarded with a pro rata portion of new users’ earnings from the faucet. Unlike illegal pyramid schemes, earnings do not percolate to the top in the chain of referrals. The exact legal status of bitcoin faucets is unclear and can vary by jurisdiction, refer to legality of bitcoin by country.
Bitcoin faucets are website that give you free Bitcoins. The original Bitcoin faucet was operated by Gavin Anderson, Bitcoin Foundation’s chief scientist. It started out around late 2010 and it gave visitors 5 Bitcoins (yes….5 whole Bitcoins) for free. Of course back at the time Bitcoin was worth something like $0.08. Here is how the website looked back then.
Heya Looper! The Limited Faucet is there faucet—and they change it all the time. They’ll move it to 60 minutes with very high payouts, and then down to 1 minute with awful payouts. Then up to 15 minutes with really good payouts, then back down to 5 minutes. I thought I removed “high paying” from their description in my last update—I’ll over the guide to make sure it doesn’t say that now.
Bitcoin has been a subject of scrutiny amid concerns that it can be used for illegal activities. In October 2013 the US FBI shut down the Silk Road online black market and seized 144,000 bitcoins worth US$28.5 million at the time. The US is considered bitcoin-friendly compared to other governments. In China, buying bitcoins with yuan is subject to restrictions, and bitcoin exchanges are not allowed to hold bank accounts.
Going to keep this part short and sweet for now. You can expect more as the weekend goes on. My thoughts on the past few days events are in the Commentary. (soon to be published) Quick, go ask Mt. Gox a question. Many sites are still down, due to constant DDoS attacks. Worst of all, even that beautiful temptress BitVegas has dropped her rewards. Here are Instawallet refund details. You can find more Here Please DO NOT share any instawallet information with anyone. I’ll do my best to keep you updated throughout the weekend.
Bryan, what’s the minimum upload/download speed of a connect for some of those ‘wallets’ and why do I need to UPLOAD 5 gigs a day? I have a real world 5Mbs Down and a puny .5Mbs UP (who cares about up?? Right?) Am I screwed? It would hijack all my practical bandwidth for other things like Youtube surfing, right? I do have 2 other older Mac Pros around – but it’s the bandwidth screwing me, right? signed, Three (Bit)Coins In The Fountain.
Greetings friends and followers. I want to thank you all for dropping by. What an amazing last few days for our beloved Bitcoin. Holding steady throughout the weekend was a bit of a miracle in itself, but to see the rise three days hence… Well. Please remember, these are legitimate sites which pay you and not like other scammers. Just a bit of efforts, time and small amount of electricity (NO INVESTMENT ELSEWISE). Trust me and you can thank me if you are happy as so will I be for us. HAPPY EARNING.
This part doesn’t need a lot of explanation, I guess. There are a lot of Bitcoin gambling websites out there that will gladly take your money for the chance of winning a bigger pot. Here’s just one example. The upside about gambling is that it doesn’t take any specific skill to start doing it; the downside is that it’s much more likely that you’ll lose all of your Bitcoins than actually win anything.

Since our last publishing of this guide, perhaps the most fun way to earn free bitcoins, Bitcoin Flapper, has gone by the wayside. The company which operated it no longer do, and to only operate iPhone apps with various titles that don’t seem to pay out in bitcoins. Other options in the Google Play Store have arisen to fill the void. Chief among them is the Blockchain Game.
